THE FIRST DAYS

These photographs were taken at home, during the first weeks with a new baby. We paused for feeding, waited when the baby needed a break and photographed what was really happening — holding, calming and getting to know one another.

My newborn sessions are unhurried and don’t require you to pose. I’ll help when needed, but mostly I’ll let you stay close. Years later, it may be hard to remember just how small your baby was in your arms. That is what these photographs are for.
